Course Overview

Walsall Gamefit Interactive with support from the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner and the ASDA Foundation will be offering free CITB Health and Safety awareness training. The course reviews the key learning objectives which include Accident Reporting, Environmental Awareness, Health and Welfare facilities, fire safety and hazardous substances.

Learning Objectives

Upon completing this training program, you will have the skills to:

• Recognize your duties and accountability within the workplace environment
• Identify and articulate various workplace dangers and implement enhanced safety protocols
• Recognize warning signage, protective gear (particularly PPE), and established workplace safety procedures
• Comprehend site and environmental protection challenges related to waste management and construction site vehicle movement

Most importantly once successfuly completing the course we will help you apply and gain a CITB Green Card so you can get employment on a building site.

Who can apply?

We are looking to support a select group 15-25 yea olds who would benefit from “Learning by Doing”. We aim to use our giant screens and turn some of the learning into physical play. So do not worry if you are not the best at school! Experts in building trade are telling us 1 in 4 have “specific skills” which means while not great at school they have talents that excel in construction.
